Dean’s research investigates how the brain develops during infancy and early childhood and how these neurodevelopmental processes are related to behavior or differ in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. In particular, his research focuses on the development and application of novel quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods to measure aspects of brain structure and microstructure.
