As a former member of the Educational Outreach Team, Lori developed and implemented mindfulness-based training programs within research studies. She worked on projects that focus on investigating the effects of mindfulness-based practices on students and staff in educational settings.
With over 25 years of teaching experience, Lori is fully aware of the challenges that both teachers and students face on a daily basis. Her interest is in exploring ways to share practices that can help focus attention, regulate strong emotions and cultivate qualities such as kindness and compassion.
Lori holds a M.S. degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training and is currently an instructor in the Mindfulness Program at UW Health.
