Large-Scale Analyses of the Effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Interventions

This project examines the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions across the research literature to understand when, how and for whom mindfulness-based treatments work. Current analyses are focusing on the effects of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) for the treatment of current major depression, with early results suggesting they are equally effective to other non-mindfulness therapies.

Although MBCT has been proven to help prevent depressive relapse, this research stems from the need to evaluate whether MBCT can be recommended for patients with current depressive symptoms.
