Join speakers from the Center for Healthy Minds at this year's Public Child Welfare Conference, held virtually from September 22-25, 2020. The biennial conference is for child welfare workers, supervisors, managers and directors and is focused on evidence-based programs to support families and organizational development to improve workforce retention.
Center Faculty member Julie Poehlmann-Tynan will speak at 12:30 p.m. about children of incarcerated mothers and fathers. She will discuss research-based tools that help children understand what incarceration means and help families navigate the challenges together through loving, truthful conversations.
Center Scientist Pelin Kesebir will speak at 10 a.m. about cultivating healthier relationships for happiness. She will share the latest scientific research on happiness and relationships, with insights from ancient wisdom.
